About Me...
My name is Emma Pate,
I have an Instructional Design, Development, and Evaluation (IDD&E) M.S degree from Syracuse University. In the summer of 2025 I completed the Excellus – Blue Cross Blue Shield Instructional Design internship. Currently, I complete contract ID projects for local Dallas Tx businesses and institutions such as Brown Mountain Art Restoration and the African American Museum of Dallas. I am passionate about improving the lives of those around me in both my work and personal life. I feel instructional design and evaluation is the perfect avenue to pursue these passions. I am dedicated to my field and furthering my knowledge of applied instructional program design and evaluation. To this end I bring extensive experience in education, management. graphic design, and leadership.
In the field of education I have experience as a Supplemental Instructor at the University of North Texas and as a Student Success Coach through City Year AmeriCorps. Similarly, I have a considerable background in management and leadership built during my time as a Senior Leader with The University of North Texas, a Laboratory Manager at the University of Texas at Dallas’ Neuroimmunology Behavior (NIB) Laboratory and from my time working as an undergraduate research assistant (RA) with the UNT Teen STAR Laboratory, which specializes in adolescent development research. Additionally, I gained experience administering behavioral and substance use screenings, writing research proposals and scientific posters, analyzing data, and using statistics software with the TARC Lab, which specializes in rehabilitation and addiction studies. These experiences allowed me to gain a deep understanding of working with underrepresented populations and those with disabilities and developmental delays.
I am incredibly grateful for the individuals and opportunities that have helped guide me to where I am now. Building relationships with others and using my expertise to create innovations that improve lives brings me immense fulfilment in my professional and personal life. I am looking forward to continuing to build impactful instructional and program solutions in the future.
